One language and yet so many differences

Almost every language has various dialects, mostly with strong regional variation. However, in some languages, such as English and Spanish, language variations have developed that are, in some cases, very different indeed. As the most widespread languages with various language variants are English and Spanish, this article goes into greater detail regarding the origins of these languages as well as several differences in the various language variations.

We have been there – #DKonf2015

On October 2 and 3 the first DialogKonferenz for all translators, interpreters and agencies took place at the former main customs office in Hamburg. The event organizer was the Deutsche Verband der freien Übersetzer und Dolmetscher (German association of freelance translators and interpreters, DVÜD).
